Ultimate Crock Pot Lamb Shanks

    • 1 teaspoon salt

    • 4 cups beef broth

    • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

    • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

    • About 1.5 tablespoon black pepper

    • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

    • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

    • 1/4 cup coconut oil

    • About 2.5 tablespoons basil leaves, finely chopped

    • 2 medium lamb shanks

    • 1 tablespoon oregano leaves

    • 2 teaspoons thyme leaves

    • Zest of 1 lemon


    1. First of all, please make sure you have all the ingredients available. In a medium or large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the coconut oil and fry the lamb shanks until golden brown.
    2. Now transfer to a bowl.
    3. This step is important. In the same skillet, fry the garlic, onion, ginger and all the spices, mixing well.
    4. Then add the lamb shanks & the spice mixture to the crock pot along with the broth.
    5. One thing remains to be done now. Now cook properly on high for about 3 to 4 hours.
    6. Finally serve warm.
