Ingredients
5 slices bacon
12 oz. ground beef
2 tbsp. butter
3 cups beef broth
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. brown mustard
½ tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
2½ tsp. tomato paste
1 medium dill pickle, diced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 ounce cream cheese
½ cup heavy cream
1½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
Directions
- Cook the bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Remove and crumble into a small bowl.
- In the leftover bacon fat, brown the ground beef.
- Transfer the meat into a soup pot, adding both butter and spices. Let the butter melt.
- Incorporate beef broth, tomato paste, cheese and pickles and cook until melted. Cover the pot, turn to low heat and simmer for 20 minutes more.
- Turn the stove off, and add the double cream and crumbled bacon. Mix well.
