Serves: 4
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef (turkey burger makes a great option as well)
1 finely chopped small onion
1 fresh egg
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
To make the sauce, you will also need the following ingredients:
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp. rice wine vinegar (or sake, if you can find it)
1 tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp. green onion or chives, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 drops liquid stevia extract (adjust to taste)
Preparation: Pre-heat the oven to 425°F. Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix together with your hands. Shape the meat into small balls about 1. 5 inches in diameter and bake in the oven for about 12 minutes or until brown but not dried out. Check for thorough and complete cooking. Next, mix all of the sauce ingredients. To serve, put 2-3 balls on a cocktail stick and serve around the dipping sauce.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with a side of rice of quinoa and a kale salad.
