BLACK BEAUTY

MAKES: 1 serving · PREP TIME: 5 minutes

This black pepper, blackberry, and vodka cocktail, or “Black Beauty,” as I like to call it, is simple to make but complex in flavor. The hint of black pepper really makes this drink. Trust me, don’t skip this ingredient; it pairs so perfectly with the blackberries and fresh mint. This drink is sure to become a new summertime favorite.

•5 blackberries, plus more for garnish

•1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice

•2 teaspoons powdered erythritol

1. Fill a large rocks glass with ice.

2. Put the vodka, blackberries, lemon juice, erythritol, pepper, and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Muddle until the fruit and mint are crushed and have released their juices.
