Coconut Flour Flatbread

    This is one of the first recipes that many people try when attempting flat bread or even more conventional breads in-line with the keto lifestyle. It is easy to make and, if done properly, can taste fantastic. Sometimes simple is best!


    • 1 Tbsp Coconut flour
    • 1 Large egg
    • 1 Tbsp parmesan cheese
    • Baking soda
    • Baking Powder
    • Salt
    • Mixed Herbs
    • Milk

    1. Simply combine all the ingredients, except the parmesan cheese, in a bowl. You should use a large pinch of salt, baking soda and the baking powder. The mixed herbs are an optional addition. You can select your own flavors! You will need to stir thoroughly; you may prefer to use an electric whisk or blender.
    2. Once it is smooth and batter like you will be able to heat a little oil in a pan and then add two circles of the batter; roughly the same size. Cook them for several minutes before flipping them. Ideally the top should be bubbling indicating the bottom has browned off. Once you have flipped them you can add your parmesan on top of the flat bread. Alternatively you can use a different type of cheese. Place the second flat bread on top and continue cooking until the inside has melted. You will then need to repeat the process. This mixture should provide you with two ‘sandwiches’.


    Based on you making two sandwiches, the nutritional information per sandwich would be; 103 calories, 4g protein, 8g fat and 2g net carbs.
