Ingredients

• 4.0 (6.0- to 8.0-ounce / 170g- to 227g each) bone-in pork loin chops
• 2.0 tablespoons butter (1.0 oz / 28g), softened
• 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves (approx. 0.4 oz / 10g), finely chopped
• 2.0 garlic cloves (approx. 0.4 oz / 10g), minced
• 2.0 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (1.0 fl oz / 30g)
• Salt and ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Rub: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter (1.0 oz / 28g), chopped basil (approx. 0.4 oz / 10g), minced garlic (approx. 0.4 oz / 10g), and lemon juice (1.0 fl oz / 30g). Mix until it forms a paste. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Coat the Pork: Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Place them in a baking dish and rub the garlic-basil butter mixture evenly over all sides of each chop.
3. Marinate: Cover the baking dish and refrigerate for 45.0 minutes.
4. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your gas grill to medium-high heat. Clean and grease the grill grate well.
5. Grill the Chops: Place the chops on the hot grill. Cook for approximately 6.0 minutes per side. The pork is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
6. Rest and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 3.0 to 5.0 minutes before serving.
