yield: about ½ cup (1 tablespoon per serving)
prep time: 5 minutes
This is probably my most frequently used homemade seasoning mix. For years, I used those little packets, which are loaded with additives. I’m so glad I started making my own instead! We love taco salad and eat it often.
• ¼ cup chili powder
• 2 tablespoons ground cumin
• 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1. In a small bowl, stir the ingredients together until well combined.
2. Store in a jar with a lid. Shake before use.
Notes:
Use 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning per pound of meat.
