    Almond Truffles

    Serves: 4

    Preparation time: 60 minutes

    Ingredients:

    8 oz. 75 percent or higher chocolate
    4 fl. oz. heavy cream
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    Preparation: Chop chocolate into small pieces. Heat up the cream and almond extract stirring occasionally. Pour this cream mixture over the cut up chocolate pieces in a small bowl. Once the chocolate melts, spread a thin layer on a lined baking sheet. Chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes. Once cooled, roll the chocolate into individual small balls and coat these balls in unsweetened cocoa powder.

    Serving Suggestion: You can either serve these immediately or place in the refrigerator to serve throughout the week as a delicious desert.
