This black pepper, blackberry, and vodka cocktail, or “Black Beauty,” as I like to call it, is simple to make but complex in flavor. The hint of black pepper really makes this drink. Trust me, don’t skip this ingredient; it pairs so perfectly with the blackberries and fresh mint. This drink is sure to become a new summertime favorite.
INGREDIENTS
•2 ounces vodka
•5 blackberries, plus more for garnish
•1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
•2 teaspoons powdered erythritol
•¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
•5 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
•Club soda
DIRECTIONS
1. Fill a large rocks glass with ice.
2. Put the vodka, blackberries, lemon juice, erythritol, pepper, and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Muddle until the fruit and mint are crushed and have released their juices.
3. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the ice-filled glass.
4. Top with club soda and garnish with blackberries and mint leaves.
