Ingredients

• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• 2 small onions, finely chopped
• 1 cup (100g) cabbage, shredded
• 4 garlic cloves, crushed
• 2 green chili peppers, sliced
• 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
• 4 tbsp (57g) butter
• 2 cups (480ml) beef broth
• For the Spice Blend
• ½ tsp ginger powder
• 4 whole cloves
• 1 tbsp yellow mustard seeds
• 2 tsp coriander seeds
• 1 tbsp whole peppercorns
• 2 tsp turmeric powder

Instructions

1. Directions
2. Set your Instant Pot to the ”Sauté” function. Add the ground beef, chopped onions, crushed garlic, peppercorns, coriander seeds, mustard seeds, and turmeric powder. Stir well, breaking up the meat, and cook for 4-5 minutes until the beef is browned and the onions have softened.
3. Add the shredded cabbage and chopped red bell pepper to the pot. Stir everything together and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the cabbage to wilt slightly.
4. Pour in the beef broth and add the remaining : butter, green chilis, ginger powder, and whole cloves. Scrape the bottom of the pot to ensure nothing is stuck, then give it all a final, thorough stir.
5. Secure the lid, set the steam release handle to the ”Sealing” position, and press the ”Manual” or ”Pressure Cook” button. Set the timer for 10 minutes on high pressure.
6. Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for at least 5 minutes before carefully performing a quick release for any remaining steam. Open the lid, stir, and serve immediately.
