The Keto Naan

Bread

November 21, 2023

Naan breads are a traditional accompaniment to a curry but you can also use them to make sandwiches or simply add a few extra spices and eat them by themselves.

Ingredients

• ½ cup coconut flour
• 1 Tbsp psyllium husk powder
• Salt
• 1 cup hot water

1. This is an incredible quick and easy bread to make. Start by heating up you cup of water until it is nearly boiling. Whilst it is warming mix the coconut flour and psyllium husk powder in a bowl with one or two pinches of salt; to your preferred taste. You can also choose to add pepper, garlic powder, onion powder or any mixture of herbs and spices you like.
2. You will now be able to slowly add the hot water, stirring as you go. The mixture will gradually become dough like. Once completed it is best to leave the mixture for five minutes; ideally in the fridge. This will firm it slightly and make it easier to manage when creating your naan’s.
3. When ready, form seven balls from your dough mixture and roll each one of them out. Once they are flat you can place them on a baking tray. You may find it is easier to roll them between two bits of baking paper; it depends upon how sticky they are to the touch. You can then slide the tray into the oven at 350 Fahrenheit. Cook for roughly ten minutes before turning them all over and cooking for a further ten minutes. They can be eaten immediately or will keep for a while if required.
